War of the worlds?

Spielberg stepped a notch down in my list, for making this oh-so-rdinary movie. In terms of invasion perspective Shyamalan's Signs was better (May be, Spielberg is trying to emulate the pupil?)

Inventing reasons

Watching the hero and heroine arrogantly walk into someone's eerie looking house and snooping around, I wondered why would someone do that. What about privacy? Isnt this tresspassing? But the counter arguement is that it is this curios nature that made Americans big discoverers and inventors!
